Research Assistant (12-month contract), SMU Urban Institute Join to apply for the Research Assistant (12-month contract), SMU Urban Institute role at Singapore Management University Responsibilities Building and maintaining a database of contacts. (Snowball) sampling. Conduct qualitative research with elderly residents and their caregivers. Transcribing interview data. Assisting the P.I. with the administrative management of the project. Other adhoc tasks that will contribute to the success of the project. Qualifications An undergraduate (Bachelor's) or postgraduate (Master's) degree by the date of appointment. Have some experience conducting qualitative research in Singapore. Be organised, detail-oriented and motivated to learn. Possess language skills in Malay, Mandarin, Tamil (useful, but not required) to interact with research participants who might be more conversant in languages other than English. Have an interest in issues related to ageing, elderly care, everyday mobilities, urban infrastructure, etc. Other Information Candidates who do not possess the stipulated qualifications but have relevant work experience may still apply. Remuneration and appointment terms shall commensurate with qualifications and experience. SMU reserves the right to modify the appointment terms where necessary.
