Project Officer/Research Associate (Qualitative Researcher)Join to apply for the Project Officer/Research Associate (Qualitative Researcher)role at Nanyang Technological University Singapore . The qualitative researcher in RRIS will provide research expertise in fields including and not limited to population health, functional and psychosocial impacts of built environment, rehabilitation and quality of life. This contributes to RRIS' diversity of work and facilitates interdisciplinary research to achieve excellence in rehabilitation research. Responsibilities Design and/or implement qualitative and mixed-method research projects related to social-health integration, psychosocial impact of physical environment, and rehabilitation-related topics. Conduct qualitative data collection, including interviews, focus groups, field observations and participatory research methods. Develop data collection tools such as interview guides, PhotoVoice manuals, focus group scripts, and observation checklists. Conduct qualitative data analysis using thematic analysis, content analysis, or grounded theory approaches. Facilitate the planning of research projects and support research-related activities, such as recruiting participants and liaising with external partners. Contribute to academic manuscripts, reports, posters and oral presentations, abstracts and grant applications. Contribute to quantitative and mixed-method data analysis and interpretation of findings. Assist in project management, such as ethics applications, project progress tracking and managing audit trail. Other ad-hoc duties as assigned. Requirements Degree (Bachelors/Master's) in population health, therapy, psychology, social sciences, social work or related courses. Minimum 3-4 years of experience in qualitative research and analysis. Experience in healthcare sector is preferred. Good written, oral and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to conduct interviews in English and Mandarin. Familiarity with qualitative software such as NVivo, Altas.ti or Dedoose. Knowledge in quantitative methods, and mixed method research and analysis. Ability to use quantitative tools such as SPSS or Stata is advantageous. Able to work independently and in team settings. Keen interest in research, conscientious and motivated. Detail-oriented with good organizational and time management skills. We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
