Job Description

As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the structural design and construction aspects of various projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural management, with at least 10 years of experience in a similar role. A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent is also required.

The Structural Design Manager will be responsible for coordinating closely with clients, consultants, and sub-contractors to ensure that all works meet the desired quality and specifications. This includes managing teams, reviewing technical work, and overseeing consultant performance to ensure timely approvals.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and validating design drawings, proposing alternative solutions where applicable, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage project timelines, design deliverables, and authority submission requirements
  • Review and validate design drawings provided by consultants and specialists
  • Propose alternative solutions where applicable and feasibility of construction
  • Ensure all design works comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee site work progress, monitor shop drawing progress, and provide support to the construction team

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience as a structural manager
  • Degree holder in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Able to interpret structural design from consultants
  • Knowledge in rebar detailing as per structural code requirements
  • Skill in Autocad & Revit (a plus)
