Responsibilities
Process incoming purchase orders from vessels promptly.
Request and review supplier quotations for necessary items and services.
Negotiate pricing and follow up on orders to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Evaluate supplier quotations and finalize orders.
Coordinate closely with warehouses and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
Provide clear forwarding instructions to suppliers and update delivery status.
Communicate with vessel port agents for seamless logistics handling.
Handle customs clearance and ensure compliance with shipping regulations.
Maintain and update supplier databases across multiple platforms.
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in related field.
3 years experience in purchasing or procurement in the shipping or marine industry.
Proactive, resourceful, and able to multitask efficiently.
Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Tech-savvy, open-minded, and results-driven.
Immediate starter is preferred.
