You will report directly to the Mechanical Lead. Your daily schedule will include frequent interactions with a multi-disciplinary team and you need to be equally comfortable working at sea trials and a normal office desk.To assist Mechanical Team with:Assist with design and fabrication of mechanical components, mechanisms and electronics housings in CADAssist with FEA Simulation on design components for structural integrity and stress failure assessmentDrafting of 2 D drawings for fabrication and assemblyAssembly and testing of designed mechanical components in the workshop and testing in real world environmentsSail out to sea for testing and evaluation of completed mechanical designsGather user requirements in collaboration with management team and customersEstablish and iterate on documentation and test procedures for mechanical quality control / regulatory complianceDesired QualitiesEnjoy product design and are always thinking of how to build something betterWant to work in fast-paced start-up environmentDemonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with team members in other sub-teamsPositive learning mindset with ability to quickly absorb knowledge and apply them to challenges facedProficient in Solid Works and Autodesk or equivalent engineering CAD design software.Good to have: Experience with various manufacturing methods ranging from CNC, welding, to sheet metal fabrication to injection moulding to composites#J-18808-Ljbffr
