Job Title: Data Centre Facilities Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the optimal operation and maintenance of data centre facilities, including critical fire protection systems and M&E infrastructure.
  • Monitor and administer essential systems such as UPS battery monitoring, water leakage detection, security surveillance, video analytics, building management, and DC infrastructure management.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call support and respond promptly to emergencies.
  • Conduct regular checks on facilities equipment and environment to guarantee seamless operations.
  • Oversee routine servicing and maintenance, ensuring timely submission of service reports and documentation.
  • Manage IMAC documentation for M&E equipment and collaborate with vendors on installations, moves, additions, and changes.
  • Develop and implement annual M&E maintenance schedules with appointed vendors.
  • Maintain and update standard operating procedures for data centre operations.
  • Liaise with landlords or facility management for building-related works, such as power maintenance.
  • Track infrastructure capacity and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Submit timely monthly reports using approved templates and participate in regular review meetings.

Requirements:

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Hold a Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Facilities Management.
  • Be certified in Data Centre Operations, such as holding Qualified DC certifications.
  • Have at least 18 months of hands-on experience in Data Centre Facilities Management (DCFM), encompassing incident escalation, vendor management, and change/service request handling.
