Job Overview:

Ensure operational excellence within the APAC region by identifying and mitigating potential audit gaps. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of local financial crime regulations, customer expectations, and market practices.

  • Proactively analyze processes to strike a balance between regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the APAC region, providing guidance on complex regulatory requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with QA teams to ensure accurate decision-making and Critical Error Free Rate (CEFR) effectively capture regional nuances.
  • Develop sampling strategies for QA teams to maintain a clear understanding of operational quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough gap analyses of end-to-end processes within the region, collaborating with relevant teams to define requirements for new or revamped processes that are compliant and customer-centric.
  • Drive the creation of precedents for complex cases, which may inform the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Provide assurance on operational processes, conducting reviews to identify potential risks and inefficiencies.
  • Act as a key point of contact for Compliance and Product Compliance teams on regional operational matters.
  • Contribute to QA scoring calibration and targeted training design to enhance operational team knowledge and accuracy.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for process-related queries and QA disputes.
  • Potentially lead a small team, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working within a regulated financial institution, with specific exposure to the APAC region.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, articulating complex regulatory requirements clearly.
  • Ability to analyze complex situations, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions.
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
