Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Structural Engineer to perform advanced structural analyses and design evaluations for a wide range of marine structures. The successful candidate will ensure all designs meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and compliance with applicable industry codes and regulations. Key Responsibilities Perform structural analysis and design of marine structures including ships, offshore platforms, and subsea installations. Utilize advanced finite element analysis (FEA) tools and software to conduct stress, fatigue, and dynamic analyses. Develop and validate structural models to simulate and predict performance under various loading conditions. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural analysis results into overall project designs. Prepare detailed technical reports, design documentation, and presentations for stakeholders. Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and failure mode analysis. Provide technical support during the construction, installation, and operational phases of projects. Stay updated with the latest advancements in marine structural engineering and analysis methodologies. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field. Proven experience in structural analysis and design of marine structures. Proficiency in using FEA software such as ANSYS, ABAQUS, or equivalent. Strong understanding of marine structural codes and standards (e.g., DNV GL, ABS, ISO). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Professional Engineer (PE) license or Chartered Engineer (CEng) status is preferred but not required. Preferred Skills Experience with structural analysis of offshore wind turbines, oil & gas platforms, and subsea structures and marine vessels. Familiarity with software tools such as MATLAB, Python, or other programming languages for custom analysis and automation. Knowledge of marine construction techniques and materials.
