Life Skills Coach Assistant

Overview: InSchool is a social enterprise that provides a structured before and after school enrichment programme, specially designed for neurodivergent children (aged 7-12) to build functional life skills, social confidence & independence.We are seeking a driven, talented and dedicated coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with students with special needs and will be committed to creating a supportive learning environment as we continue to make meaningful impact to society and build an inclusive future.You will be involved in the end-to-end execution of your teaching work and experience how your effort is positively changing and impacting the lives of families and children with special needs.Responsibilities: - Create clean, safe and conducive learning environment to promote students' development and learning.- Assist coaches in planning and designing classroom activities and preparing learning resources and materials.- Support coaches in teaching/coaching students in your charge to carry out instructions of the activities during lessons.- Build good relationships with students through care and encouragement.- Help coaches with data collection through daily observation of each student and track progress/monitor each student's goals and objectives.- Collaborate with overall team to support students' well-being and development.- Implement positive, robust classroom routines and practices to maintain classroom discipline.Requirements: - Minimum 1 year of working experience within a SPED school and/or worked with children with special needs, including but not limited to autism, intellectual disabilities, down syndrome etc.- Having a specialist diploma/degree in a relevant or related field or valid teaching certification in Special Education is good but optional.- Some understanding of the special education laws and regulations.- Strong in communicating, collaborating and building relationships with students, parents and team members.- Good patience, empathy and desire to help students achieve their potential.- Takes the initiative, can be independent, and positively influences your team.- Resourceful, result-driven, can problem-solve, flexible and adaptable to the changing educational environment.- Likes to learn and able to learn on the job.Schedule: Monday to Friday (in-person and on-site) Locations: • Common Ground Civic Centre, 21 Bedok North Street 1, #01-01, Singapore • Enabling Village, 20 Lengkok Bahru, #01-09, Canopy Block, Singapore Interested candidates please drop us a message at or contact us at (WhatsApp available).
