About us As a Sales Coordinator (MICE), you will develop work in co-operation with the business development team and co-ordinates the preparation and issuance of business proposals and contracts, and bookings for guestrooms and/or event venues. Proficient in the application of all sales and catering booking systems and processes to maintain customer profiles. Provide high level administrative support by conducting research, preparing statistical reports, collecting and processing sensitive data and also resolving guest issues. Your day to day Promote teamwork and quality service through communication and coordination with other departments Coordinate details with other departments such as VIP amenities, special requests, or other service needs or special handling Ensure active management of individual GAPs and personal development plan Acts on guests' requests, provides initial suggestions on sales enquiries Distributes sales leads immediately for responses within 24 hours Preparing sales related documents throughout the sales process (e.g. Proposal, Contracts, Corporate Rate Letters, Proforma invoice) Attend to the general sales hotline and all incoming telephone calls within 3 rings Understands the process of checking for the availability of guestrooms and event venues Resolve requests and/or complaints to the satisfaction of the guest; inform supervisor of major problems, complaints, disturbances or dissatisfied clients. Proficient in the application of all Sales tool and systems; maintenance and management of database, support with departmental reports Communication and preparation of show room keys and checking of the show rooms Preparation / consolidation of overseas sales call schedule / appointments for Sales team Work on educational or familiarization groups in co-ordination with the Sales team Preparation, requisition and stock control of collateral, printed material, stationery, corporate gifts and promotional items Raising the sponsorship letters, vouchers and purchase requisition forms Participates in direct marketing assignments Assist with the preparation of new products and services as directed and provide guests with information Attend the sales-related meetings from time to time, and may be required to take minutes of meetings to be circulated accordingly Raise the awareness and reputation of your hotel and the brand locally Ensure guest safety is a priority with minimal interruptions or problems Offer advice to clients to reduce waste, save energy and have a minimal impact to the environment Other ad-hoc duties - unexpected moments when we have to pull together to get a task done What we need from you Diploma/Degree in Business or Hospitality management or related disciplines Minimum 1 years' experience in Operations or Sales in service industry Good communication skills and shows initiative Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Flexible work approach What we offer Join us and you'll become part of the global IHG family - and like all families, all our individual team members share some winning characteristics.
