Scope of Works:

  • Carry out the duties as listed in Fire Safety (Fire Safety Managers) Regulations.
  • Carry out a fire risk assessment including the identification and control of hazardous materials and as and when there are changes in work processes or when SCDF requests to do so.
  • Work closely with the S.O. on the annual inspection by PE on the firefighting system and submission of Fire Certificate to SCDF for approval, and follow up closely on any rectification of findings.
  • Prepare inspection checklist for firefighting system and carry out inspection and testing on monthly basis or as and when instructed by the S.O.
  • Formulate and review the Emergency Response Plan including evacuation plan, and provide training for the implementation.
  • Update and share any changes in the Fire Safety Acts and Regulations, and provide recommendations such that the installation comply with the updated regulations.
  • Track and recommend the training required for CERT members to ensure the team is competent.
  • Attend immediately to any fire incident or emergency as and when as instructed by the S.O.
  • Carry out investigations on fire incidents or non-compliance of Fire Safety Act and Regulations.
  • Carry out work improvement on firefighting system, draft contract requirements for the procurement of services, and supervision and implementation of improvement work.
  • Plan and carry out table-top exercise as and when instructed by the S.O.
  • Prepare and maintain a record of all activities related to firefighting training, fire safety training, emergency exercises and maintenance of firefighting equipment.
  • Work closely with the appointed facility management contractors to carry out the checking, inspection and testing of fire fighting equipment and system, and follow up closely on rectification work
