Recruitment Director in Nutraceuticals & Ingredients | Women in Nutraceuticals – UK Sub-Chair | Building Diverse Teams that Drive Innovation As Quality Assurance Manager, you will oversee and implement quality management systems to ensure compliance, product integrity, and regulatory alignment across the company’s APAC operations. This role requires a technically strong professional with a deep understanding of regional regulations, manufacturing standards, and supplier quality assurance within the dietary supplement and nutraceutical sector. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all QA activities across APAC markets (Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia). Oversee product quality programs from ingredient sourcing through finished product release. Develop, maintain, and continuously improve Quality Management Systems (QMS) in compliance with regional and international standards (GMP, ISO, HACCP, TGA, FOSHU, etc.). Conduct supplier and contract manufacturer audits to ensure consistent adherence to quality and regulatory expectations. Collaborate with R&D, Regulatory Affairs, and Supply Chain to maintain product quality during formulation changes, new product launches, and scale-up activities. Investigate and resolve quality issues, deviations, and customer complaints through root cause analysis and corrective actions. Prepare and manage documentation for internal and external audits, certifications, and regulatory submissions. Train cross-functional teams on quality principles, standards, and compliance best practices. Key Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Quality Management, Chemistry, or related field. Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in quality assurance or regulatory compliance within dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, or functional food. Strong knowledge of GMP, ISO 9001, HACCP , and region-specific regulatory frameworks (TGA, FOSHU, MFDS, HSA, etc.). Experience managing contract manufacturers and suppliers across multiple APAC markets. Excellent attention to detail, documentation control, and communication skills. Fluency in English required; proficiency in an Asian language (Japanese, Korean, or Mandarin) is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and fast-paced environment.
