Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking an accomplished Quality Assurance Specialist to maintain and enhance our Integrated Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001).

• Maintain and continually improve the Integrated Management Systems.
• Plan and execute internal audits as well as coordinate external certification and surveillance audits.
• Cascade company objectives into departmental targets; facilitate regular Management Review Meetings and report progress, nonconformities, and improvement actions.
• Organize QHES committee meetings to ensure all information is shared with management and the direction is clear.
• Maintain bizSAFE certificate and plan and lead external audit for certification renewal.
• Develop and deliver QEHS inductions and refresher programs for staff and site personnel; maintain training matrix and competency records.
• Share instructions, news, and materials from HQ and updates from local authorities in a timely manner to ensure employees are aware of the latest information.
• Lead risk assessments for project sites and ensure compliance with occupational safety and health regulations, site-specific safety rules, and company policies.
• Perform regular site inspections to identify hazards, unsafe practices, or potential risks and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Maintain safety records and documentation in accordance with legal and contractual requirements.
• Monitor changes to Singapore WSH and any other requirements; ensure permits, licenses, and statutory inspections are current.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses, prepare reports, and follow up on preventive measures.

The Quality Engineer will also play the role of Regional QEHS lead and be responsible for:

• Supporting superiors to map group companies' required ISO certifications, renewal cycles, and audit status.
• Reviewing local QEHS organization, risk controls, and leading/lagging indicators; conducting remote/onsite assessments and coaching smaller entities lacking in-house expertise.
• Supporting superiors to roll out corporate QEHS standards, campaigns, and training; harmonizing procedures and forms.
• Supporting superiors to propose and conduct necessary action to promote and keep the corporate culture to prioritize QEHS.

To be successful as a Quality Assurance Specialist, you should have:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety & Health, Quality/Industrial Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8-10 years of experience managing QEHS in the industry of power plants, industrial plants, or O&G.
• Experience handling ISO External Audit regionally.
• Experience maintaining bizSAFE certificate and handling external audit for renewal.
• Exposure to sustainability reporting and corporate initiatives.
• Experience working in Engineering of power plants and industrial plants equipment.
• Ability to manage and lead a team responsible for strictly keeping compliance coordinating and communicating with stakeholders.
• Knowledge of power plant business, key components of the power plant, and plant construction process.
• Knowledge of Quality Management (QEHS – Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety), ISO 9001/14001/45001 standards, and audit practice.
• Competent in risk assessment methodologies and incident root-cause analysis.

Internal Auditor Certification and Project Management Essential Training would be an advantage.
