Private Asset Investment Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Private Asset Investment Operations Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide day-to-day operational support for AIA's private investments, ensuring that operational functions are performed on a timely and accurate basis.

As a Private Asset Investment Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring and broadcasting capital calls and distributions from general partners (GPs) in a timely manner;
  • Maintaining an updated GP portal access and contact list;
  • Handling capital call and distribution workflows, including booking trades with respective responsible parties;
  • Setting up new investments in our financial systems;
  • Serving as a primary point of contact with GPs for cap call, distribution, and undrawn commitment queries;
  • Providing information to relevant portfolio managers to support input into Bloomberg AIM;
  • Coordinating cash transfers between portfolios to ensure sufficient funds for investments;
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance processes and workflows, improve efficiency, and minimize operational risks.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, banking, or finance;
  • At least 4 years of experience in asset management or private asset general partnership involved in managing private investments;
  • A strong understanding of end-to-end investment processes, controls, and technologies for private assets;
  • Knowledge of fund vehicles such as SICAV or Singapore unit trusts/VCC operations (an advantage);
  • The ability to design and implement new or enhanced processes and controls;
  • Experience working with external service providers and fund managers;
  • Proficiency in preparing financial and business analyses and presentations;
  • Strong communication skills in both written and verbal forms;
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
  • Experience with eFront system (a plus);
  • The ability to work under pressure without compromising quality and accuracy in a fast-paced environment;
  • A team-oriented, dedicated, and open-minded working attitude.

In return for your expertise, you can expect a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $120,000 per annum, depending on your qualifications and experience.
