About the Role

The Data Capability Product Owner is a critical role at CHUBB, responsible for driving the vision and roadmap for data and analytics products. This position requires a strong understanding of business strategy and the ability to translate it into technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Mature Data Capabilities: Design, implement, and measure data management and business insights frameworks, tools, and strategies to drive business growth and performance improvement.
  • Plan and Update Data Roadmap: Prioritize data needs for data products and develop a comprehensive data roadmap to ensure alignment with business strategy.
  • Measure Business Processes: Identify business value drivers and KPIs to measure operational effectiveness and business outcomes.
  • Harness Insights from Data: Analyze large data sets to identify patterns and trends, and interpret insights to inform business decisions.
  • Accountable for E2E Data Solutions: Ensure end-to-end data solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Prioritize Backlog for Data Squads: Work with data squads to prioritize backlog items and ensure delivery of high-priority items.
  • Cross-Domain and Cross-Squad Alignment: Collaborate with domain leads, squad members, and product owners to ensure alignment and dependency mapping.
  • Ensure Adequate Documentation: Develop and maintain documentation for data products and related services.
  • Develop and Lead Training: Create training programs to educate stakeholders on effective use of data products and related services.
  • Mature Data Capabilities: Develop and mature data capabilities within segments and domains to ensure data availability, reporting assets, and tooling capabilities.
Requirements
  • 7-10 years in Product Management: Experience in product development, including product management, product development, and product ownership.
  • BS/MS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Equivalent: Strong technical foundation in software engineering, computer science, or mathematics.
  • Experience in Insurance or Similar Industry: Experience in the insurance industry or similar industries, with a strong understanding of data and analytics.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills, with experience in designing, implementing, and measuring data management and business insights frameworks, tools, and strategies.
  • Strong Business Acumen: Strong business acumen, with the ability to inform creation of business value drivers and KPIs that measure operational effectiveness and business outcomes.
  • Proficient in Data and Visualization Tools: Proficient in using data and visualization tools, including SQL, Excel, QlikSense, and MS PowerBI.
  • Passionate about Data: Passionate about data and the strategic insights that can be derived from it.
  • Solution-Oriented: Ability to design and implement full-cycle process analytics, roadmaps, and maturing capabilities.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to matrixed teams.
  • Energetic and Self-Starter: Energetic and self-starter, with the ability to independently multi-task across many different complex initiatives to drive deliverables concurrently.
