Bakery Team Leader

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bakery Team Leader to lead our bakery team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the bakery, ensuring maximum quality and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the preparation and presentation of baked goods to meet hotel standards.
  • Lead a team of pastry chefs and kitchen assistants to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
  • Develop and implement new menu items and recipes in collaboration with the Pastry Chef.
  • Monitor and maintain food safety and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
  • Coordinate with Engineering regarding kitchen maintenance and repairs.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef on work schedules and annual leave.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and all corporate and hotel standards.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as a pastry chef or in a similar leadership role.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to train and develop staff.
  • High level of creativity and attention to detail.
