Job Description

The role of a Lighting Engineering Associate involves working on various lighting solutions, electronic engineering applications, and project management. This includes daily operations of the firm, primarily in the public and built environment infrastructure industry.

Key responsibilities include technical research and solutions project management, sourcing and purchasing, evaluating lighting technology, and identifying potential trends for future development. Hands-on experience with lighting applications design, planning, implementation, programming, and troubleshooting is also required.

Additionally, the role involves research and product development of patented state-of-the-art smart building solutions, including hardware, software, on-site implementation, and big data analysis.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Knowledge of global trends in lighting, semiconductor, nanotechnology, and light fidelity industries
  • Familiarity with lighting hardwares and relevant technologies that complement lighting and visual displays
  • Strong sales skills, research, and presentation abilities to propose solutions for multinational corporations (MNCs) and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)
  • Ability to work in an interactive and experiential lighting setup for creative marketing agencies, both locally and overseas
  • High level of comfort in fast-paced, high-adrenaline environments with challenging timelines and deliverables
  • Experience with high-level data gathering, SWOT analysis, and digital marketing
  • External-facing responsibilities include sourcing, purchasing, conducting due diligence on products, suppliers, and their processes
