Stamford American International School is seeking an experienced instrumental music teacher to join our Lions Music Academy team.

  • Job Description:
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining a successful music program within the school, teaching instrumental techniques, performance skills, music theory, and musical awareness to students aged 3-18.
  • The role includes working in conjunction with curriculum staff teaching the International Baccalaureate PYP, MYP, DP, AP, and BTEC programs as well as supporting the school's Music Ensemble Program.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Music or Music Performance (preferably) or equivalent qualification.
  • Professional current teacher licensure or certification required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in working with children as an instrumental teacher with relevant qualifications.
  • Experience with Trinity and/or ABRSM music examinations.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills.
