Structural Supervisor Job Description

This role is responsible for overseeing the structural aspects of a project, ensuring that all elements are designed and constructed to meet the required standards.

About the Role
  • Liaise with Superintendents and structure engineers to understand and follow up on project schedules.
  • Expedite site fabrication and installation works with allocated sub-contractor teams to achieve targeted progress.
  • Update and report project progress reports and plans for one week ahead of activities to be completed.
  • Redline mark-up drawings to be done progressively and update engineering information.
  • Work closely with Superintendents and structure engineers for drawing and site discrepancies, equipment structural clash checks for troubleshooting fabrication matters and obtain information for site coordination.
  • Maintain and keep remnant material records for final reconciliation of materials.
  • Coordinate and organize scaffolding erection and de-staging plans and activities with all trades.
  • Follow up on all fabrication and installation job fit-ups, welding, and inspection.
  • Understand and ensure compliance in project requirements and scope of works.
  • Understand contractors' scopes of work and manage/subcontractor performance in line with provided schedules.
  • Capture and prepare timesheets for submission for any drawing changes, modifications, and scope variations – subcon SI, JCS/JCF, etc.
  • Provide necessary information to prepare MOS and JSA arrangements and follow up to get lifting plan arrangement drawings.
  • Issue materials to subcontractors based on work fronts for one week.
