Role Overview

The Senior Retail Banking Sales Manager is a critical position at Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Limited, responsible for driving growth and customer acquisition in the retail banking segment. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, a deep understanding of consumer banking products, and the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.

Responsibilities
  • To maximize new business opportunities and deepen existing customer relationships by providing consultative financial analysis and profiling sessions, market information updates, and trend analysis.
  • To foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Branch Managers, Business Managers, and Product Managers, to ensure seamless collaboration and execution of sales plans.
  • To develop and implement monthly sales plans to achieve/exceed sales targets, aligning with business objectives and goals.
  • To participate in marketing and promotional activities to drive customer acquisition and retention.
  • To source and call on individual prospects, leveraging technical knowledge and expertise in consumer banking products.
  • To provide quality after-sales services, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • To manage anti-attrition and retention of clients, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures.
  • To organize and conduct sales presentations to groups, clubs, associations, companies, and other organizations, showcasing Standard Chartered's unique value proposition.
  • To solicit referrals from other parts of the bank, such as Relationship Managers from Corporate & Institutional Banking, staff, etc.
  • To comply with all applicable money laundering prevention procedures, reporting any suspicious activity to the Transaction Monitoring Unit.
  • To ensure compliance with all regulations and controls set by the bank and external regulatory authorities.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of experience in relationship management and retail banking.
  • RNF and CMFAS certifications.
  • Excellent client acquisition and account management skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in consumer banking products, including Treasury, Equities, Funds, Insurance, etc.
