About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Sales Engineer to join our team at Novo Recruitment Solutions PTE. LTD. as a Business Development Manager for Power Generation Solutions.

As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and developing strategic relationships with distributors and customers in the Asia Pacific and South East Asia region.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively manage lead opportunities to ensure timely fulfillment and profitability for our business units.
  • Develop and present forecasts and sales pipeline plans to management for planning purposes.
  • Solicit distributors for service sales (aftermarket items) and spare parts sales.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop sales strategies that focus on identifying new prospects within current accounts.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of diesel industrial engines to provide technical advice on spare parts to distributors.
  • Optimize inventory levels (own stock and consignment stock) at customer locations to minimize stock-up costs and ensure adequate parts availability.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of projects, costs, sales, and activity reports.
  • Deliver proposal presentations to prospects, clients, and sales personnel.
  • Participate in cross-functional programs for ongoing development.
  • Perform additional aftermarket and parts sales tasks as assigned.
Requirements
  • A degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with at least three years of relevant experience, preferably in the automotive or spare parts industries.
  • Able to travel up to 15% of the time in the Asia Pacific and South East Asia region.
  • Excellent presentation skills, strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A strong focus on providing exceptional customer service and a passion for spare parts and power generation goods.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and possessing excellent business and commercial acumen.
  • Prior knowledge of engine manufacturers' spare parts is beneficial.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is SGD $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
