Capital Market Technology Specialist

The role involves working with advanced technologies like APIs, artificial intelligence, and cloud solutions to enhance efficiency and decision-making processes in the capital markets domain. The specialist will be responsible for supporting users of IT applications, responding to their requests, and resolving incidents related to Calypso back-office package development and maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Resolve incidents impacting users swiftly and efficiently.
  • Handle user requests promptly and effectively.
  • Perform Java code analysis and propose code adjustments.
  • Drive sustainable solutions to prevent recurring issues.
  • Serve as the primary communication channel between IT and stakeholders.
  • Follow CMI Run processes, standards, and recommendations provided by the Run Control Tower.
  • Define and implement application monitoring for timely incident detection.
  • Supervise and monitor daily and monthly batch chains.
  • Process and issue reporting on data quality.
  • Streamline processes to minimize manual intervention.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years hands-on experience with Calypso development and support
  • Experience with Calypso version 16 is a plus, but other back-office systems are advantageous
  • Reconciliation process
  • Understanding of financial assets (repos, bonds, securities) and trade lifecycle
  • Experience with regulatory reporting (MMSR)
  • Knowledge of Java, PL/SQL & Linux
  • Good knowledge in UNIX platform and database management systems (SQL, Oracle, Sybase, BigData…)
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Shell script, PowerShell, SQL…)
  • Valuable exposure to tools & technologies like Elastic Search, Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, Confluence, Jira, Gitlab, MQ Series
  • Experience in DevOps tooling (GIT, Maven/Graven/Nuget/Ansible, Jenkins…)
  • Experience with Docker/Kurbernetes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies
