Job Title: Landscape Management Professional

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong understanding of horticulture, landscape design principles, and project management skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Landscape Maintenance: Assist in the daily maintenance of landscapes, including pruning, planting, and irrigation system management. Ensure all landscapes are well-manicured and meet quality standards.
  • Project Management: Assist in the planning and execution of landscape projects, including design, installation, and maintenance. Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
  • Horticulture Expertise: Provide horticultural expertise and recommendations on plant selection, soil management, and pest control. Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in landscape management.
  • Team Management: Supervise and train landscape maintenance staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties. Foster a positive and productive team environment.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met. Prepare and submit reports, invoices, and other documentation as required.

Requirements:

  • Education: Diploma or degree in Horticulture, Landscape Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in landscape management or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of horticulture and landscape design principles, project management and team management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as ISA Certified Arborist, Certified practicing horticulturist or Certified Park Manager, are an advantage.

  • Work Environment: Office and outdoor settings, including exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift, carry, and manoeuvre heavy objects, and work in physically demanding conditions.
