We're seeking a seasoned climate journalist to spearhead our coverage of China's climate change initiatives.

Job Description

This role requires an experienced reporter with a proven track record in climate journalism. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to drive our climate change coverage in China. This involves:

  • Generating innovative story ideas that highlight the impact of climate change on China, as well as the nation's response to this pressing issue
  • Breaking news on climate and environmental policy-making, green investing, and clean technology sectors in China
  • Developing ambitious feature stories that showcase the complexities and nuances of climate change in China, and its far-reaching implications globally

The ideal candidate will have:

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in journalism, with a focus on climate change and/or environmental issues
  • At least 5 years of reporting experience on climate change, with a strong understanding of the subject matter
  • Experience covering China as a reporter, with a deep knowledge of the country's culture, politics, and economy
  • Demonstrated ability to conceive and deliver deeply reported features, with a keen eye for detail and narrative
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling stories that resonate with diverse audiences
