About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our Rail Licensing Division as an Assistant Manager, Rail Reliability Incentive. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in monitoring rail reliability data, assessing rail incidents, and administering grants related to the Singapore RTS network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify rail reliability performance claims by rail Public Transport Operators (PTOs) using in-house data analysis systems.
  • Conduct assessments to verify PTOs' submissions of rail reliability data.
  • Investigate incidents to assess fault attribution of rail incidents resulting in service delays, including interface with PTOs on operational considerations.
  • Liaise with PTOs and internal/external stakeholders on matters regarding rail reliability data and rail incidents.
  • Oversee audits on PTOs' documented and certified processes for the collection of rail reliability data, and control mechanisms at critical points to enhance governance.
  • Engage independent auditors to audit on rail operators' rail reliability data and systems.
  • Establish and improve processes and procedures to ensure a consistent and efficient approach in rail reliability incentive matters.
  • Provide periodic updates to LTA senior management on rail reliability incentive matters.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
  • Excellent writing, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly adaptable team player who is resourceful, independent, and self-motivated with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and produce innovative solutions.
  • Ability to work well in a team with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Good time management and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Leadership skills and relevant working experience in rail systems engineering, signalling systems, communications systems, grants administration, auditing, or data analysis will be an advantage.
