Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Cancer Centre Administrative Lead to join our team at NCIS. This position plays a pivotal role in overseeing patient billing, appointments, financial counselling, and providing leadership to a team of two staff members.

Responsibilities:

  • Patient Billing: Oversee the accurate and timely processing of patient bills and invoices, resolve billing discrepancies, and ensure compliance with insurance and regulatory requirements.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Manage and optimise chemotherapy appointment scheduling systems and workflows to ensure optimal patient flow and minimise wait times.
  • Financial Counselling: Provide guidance and support to patients regarding financial aspects of their treatment, assist patients in understanding insurance coverage, payment options, and financial assistance programs.
  • Staff Supervision: Mentor and supervise a team of two junior staff members, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's Degree will be an advantage.
  • Required 5 years' experience in healthcare administration in the supervisory capacity, preferably in a clinical setting or cancer centre.
  • Strong understanding of medical billing practices, insurance procedures, and financial counseling.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
