Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer

Join FLINTEX CONSULTING PTE. LTD. as a Quality Assurance Engineer and play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our electrical products. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting in-coming inspections, type testing, and validating product quality conformance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Validate product quality conformance by conducting in-coming inspections and type testing for cable & accessories, including updating into SAP.
  • Operate laboratory test equipment for cable testing and accessories inspection.
  • Understand international cable testing standards and inspection requirements with compliance to internal ISO procedures.
  • Prepare test specifications with detailed inspection requirements to be followed by suppliers.
  • Prepare and issue customer test reports, certificates, and COC.
  • Track supplier quality by means of in-coming inspections or arising from customer complaints.
  • Generate supplier CARs and track for corrective action and effective closure of CARs by liaising with suppliers.
  • Liaise with relevant departments, including suppliers, to effectively close CARs issued for customer complaints or CARs arising from internal findings.
  • Maintain inspection records in SAP, determine skip lots, and set up inspection requirements in SAP.
  • Assist customers' technical enquiries, such as customer letters, RoHS, REACH, and CE.
  • Understand and comply with relevant ISO procedures, work instructions, and corporate directives.
  • Assist in other day-to-day activities related to the QA department as assigned by superiors.
  • Contribute to achieving company, department, and personal KPIs through due diligence, duty of care, and personal accountability for quality assurance in all tasks.
Requirements:
  • Min. Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Electronics/Electrical) or equivalent.
  • Min. 2 years' experience in electrical/electronic product testing and qualification.
  • Knowledge in ISO 9001:2015 QMS standard is an added advantage.
  • Ability to operate lab equipment, such as callipers, visual scopes, resistance checkers, high-voltage testers, etc.
  • Prior experience in SAP system and knowledge of cable product testing is an added advantage.
  • Good written and communication skills.
  • Good customer handling skills and ability to communicate with all levels in the organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Addresses present issues immediately and independently.
  • Possesses self-confidence and willingness to share opinions and expertise in discussions.
  • Anticipates potential problems and takes action to avoid crises.
  • Provides support to colleagues in the department and works as a team to achieve department goals and targets.
