Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality are maintained throughout all products' lifecycles within the robotics industry.

This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance protocols and procedures for robot assembly. The successful candidate will have a strong background in quality management systems (QMS) and experience with ISO 9001 standards.

The Quality Assurance Specialist will lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives to address defects and non-conformities, monitor and analyse quality performance metrics, and report findings to senior management.

The individual will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues, provide training and guidance to junior engineers and team members on quality best practices, and stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in quality assurance methodologies and technologies.

In addition, this role involves overseeing all quality-related audits, both internal and external, and leading and participating in cross-functional teams to drive quality improvement projects.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance within the robotics or manufacturing industry.
  • Certification in quality engineering (CQE) or a related certification is a plus.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures for robot assembly.
  • Establish quality management system and programs, conduct regular inspections and audits of assembly processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and company specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, engineering, production, and supply chain, to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives to address defects and non-conformities.
  • Monitor and analyse quality performance metrics and report findings to senior management.
  • Ensure all quality assurance activities are in compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior quality engineers and other team members on quality best practices, quality programs, and quality standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in quality assurance methodologies and technologies.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints regarding product performance and quality, ensure timely and effective resolution of any issues, improve customer satisfaction through quality improvements.
  • Oversee all quality-related audits, both internal and external.
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to drive quality improvement projects.
