About this role:
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Research Analyst to join our team in APAC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical industry research and analysis, with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining models and databases, producing regular reports, and responding to client inquiries. They will also assist in the delivery of market insights and commercial products.
About the Team:
Our team provides actionable data and insights to stakeholders in the global chemical industry. We offer short- and long-term market coverage for over 200 core building-block chemicals, along with advisory services and top-tier events held around the globe.
The worldwide chemical industry looks to us to guide decisions and manage risk across the entire value chain.
You Will:
- Maintain and update the database and analytical models, including supply/demand and econometric models.
- Prepare and publish weekly and monthly reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Create charts, data visualizations, and PowerPoint presentations for client meetings and internal briefings.
- Respond to client inquiries promptly, providing data-driven insights and support as required.
- Conduct research and draft written reports on industry developments when assigned.
- Coordinate with the global team to ensure alignment and consistency of products.
- Contribute to the development of new commercial products or enhancement of existing ones.
Requirements:
- 2-4 years of experience in the chemical industry, preferably in research and analysis.
- An engineering degree is preferable.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to work under pressure to achieve set deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional Suite, including advanced level expertise in Microsoft Excel.
