Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair stationary and rotary equipment in power plants as assigned by mechanical engineers or supervisors.
  • Perform daily maintenance inspections, attend to defects and breakdowns, and calibrate mechanical equipment.
  • Disassemble and reassemble mechanical equipment including gas turbines, steam turbines, HRSGs, BOPs, and WWTs for repairs and rehabilitation.
  • Have hands-on experience with valves, pumps, compressors, piping, safety valves, control valves, and shutoff valves.
  • Assist mechanical engineers in troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and failure analysis to determine the cause of failures.
  • Help develop risk assessments and mitigation measures for every maintenance job in the plant.
  • Apply for permits to work as a competent person for every maintenance activity in the plant.
  • Supervise contractors and collaborate with other maintenance teams and operations technicians to execute maintenance tasks.
  • Withdraw and prepare spares from warehouses for job execution.
  • Provide daily updates on maintenance activities for the day to all stakeholders (operations).
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
  • Hold a minimum ITE qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent studies.
  • Have at least 3 years of experience in relevant maintenance fields in a power plant or petrochemical industry.
  • Candidates with no experience are welcome as training will be provided.
