Aquatic Systems Specialist

Our team of experts is seeking a skilled Aquatic Systems Specialist to join our diverse and dynamic group. As an integral part of our operations, you will play a vital role in maintaining the health and beauty of our aquatic exhibits.


Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance on various aquarium systems, including water testing, filtration cleaning, and substrate vacuuming.
  • Monitor and maintain optimal water parameters such as temperature, salinity, pH, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels.
  • Conduct daily health checks of fish, invertebrates, and live plants to identify and address signs of stress or disease.
  • Implement effective disease prevention and treatment protocols.
  • Prepare and administer diets tailored to the needs of different aquatic species.
  • Clean and maintain aquarium decorations, rockwork, and artificial corals.
  • Assist with setting up new tanks and relocating aquatic inhabitants.
  • Record tank conditions, maintenance activities, and animal health accurately.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in aquarium maintenance or a dedicated hobbyist background.
  • In-depth knowledge of freshwater and saltwater aquarium systems, including filtration, lighting, and heating.
  • Strong understanding of aquatic animal husbandry, including fish identification, common diseases, and nutritional requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in varying environmental conditions.
  • Genuine passion for marine and aquatic life.
