Roles and Responsibilities

As a Network and System Administrator, you will be responsible for the efficient administration and day-to-day maintenance of all IT systems, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization.

  • Monitor system performance and ensure adequate data protection measures are in place.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot network equipment, including routers, servers, switches, SANs, and phone systems.
  • Work closely with the IT Manager to develop policies for the use of IT resources.
  • Take proactive steps to ensure system availability and monitor and maintain the security of IT systems and infrastructure.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A diploma in Computer Networks and Systems Administration or its equivalent.
  • Strong Microsoft Windows Server administration skills.
  • Thorough knowledge and practical experience in key networking and systems concepts, including DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
  • Thorough knowledge and practical experience in key Microsoft applications, including SQL, Exchange, and IIS.
  • Solid understanding of networking, switching, routing, wireless, and firewalling.
  • Scripting skills, including Powershell or VBScript.
  • Basic understanding of Linux server administration.
