Job Title: Financial Modeller

We are seeking an experienced financial modeler to join our team. As a financial modeler, you will work with a team of modelling professionals to create, analyze and optimize complex financial models, ensuring they are robust and reliable.

The successful candidate will have a good appreciation of accounting concepts and an understanding of project finance concepts. They will also have strong analytical skills with a foundation in building and operating financial models using Excel.

A degree qualified in a numerate discipline, with a postgraduate qualification in accounting or finance beneficial. Experience with the FAST financial modeling standard is desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support financial model audit assignments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Use a combination of software checks and parallel model development to identify modelling errors.
  • Take ownership of specific assignments and projects, demonstrating initiative and dedication to achieving high-quality outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of financial modeling methodologies and tools, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Prepare comprehensive model documentation detailing assumptions, methodologies, and results.
  • Maintain meticulous records of modeling processes and methodologies to uphold high standards and ensure consistency.
  • Assist in developing project plans, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.

Requirements:

  • (1-2) years of relevant experience in a financial analysis role within a recognized advisory practice or large corporate setting.
  • Strong analytical skills with a foundation in building and operating financial models using Excel.
  • Good appreciation of accounting concepts.
  • Understanding of project finance concepts.
  • Degree qualified in a numerate discipline, with a postgraduate qualification in accounting or finance beneficial.
  • Experience with the FAST financial modeling standard is desirable.
