Axiom Technologies is a leading IT services provider supporting medium to large-scale enterprises. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional solutions and services to our clients.
We are seeking a skilled Data Center Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and executing various tasks related to data center operations, including installation and maintenance of network elements and structured cabling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist higher-level techs and team leads in building out infrastructure, including pulling cable, pulling fiber, and learning color codes.
- Install and maintain network elements and structured cabling.
- Perform pre-termination procedures, including organizing, forming, and dressing cables.
- Suspend and support cables correctly, including cable tray, J-hook, D-rings, and bridal rings.
- Install grounding for racks, equipment, and cable as required.
- Perform fire-stopping procedures on firewalls, install sleeves, pull cable through sleeves, and core penetration.
- Terminate low-voltage devices.
- Follow prints and complete all paperwork accurately and on time.
- Adhere to and participate in all company, customer, and industry quality and safety standards and regulations.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience in network wiring, data room experience, structured cabling, and telecom wiring.
- At least one of the following IT qualifications: PC/Laptop OEM Maintenance Certification, CompTIA A+ Certification, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) certification in the desktop area, or Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification.
- Reliable transportation, flexible schedule, and commitment to work on demand when required.
