Job Summary

SHANGHAI TUNNEL ENGINEERING CO (SINGAPORE) PTE LTD is seeking a highly experienced Slurry Treatment Plant Manager to oversee the operations of the slurry treatment plant for our large slurry TBM tunnelling project. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing plant personnel, implementing quality control measures, and developing sustainable practices to reduce the plant's environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Management: Ensure that the plant operations comply with environmental regulations and permits related to waste treatment, discharge, and emissions.
  • Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure the treated slurry meets specified standards before discharge or reuse.
  • Safety and Compliance: Implement and monitor safety protocols to ensure the well-being of personnel and compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve treatment processes to enhance efficiency, minimize waste generation, and maximize resource recovery.
  • Personnel Management: Train, supervise, and manage STP personnel to standardize operation of equipment, maintenance of equipment, and emergency problem handling.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with M&E team and STP manufacturer to handle equipment maintenance and repair solutions, and with tunnel team and Mud Engineer to optimize mud modulation and soil reconciliation.
  • Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans, including spill containment and cleanup procedures.
Requirements
  • Experience: More than 5 years of experience as an STP engineer or manager in slurry TBM tunnelling projects.
  • Education: At least 10 years of relevant working experience.
  • Skills: Good communication skills, proficient in English writing and speaking, and recommended skills include quality control, regulatory compliance, treatment, geology, task assignment, waste treatment, energy efficiency, equipment maintenance, compliance, emergency response, writing, tunnelling, wellbeing, and plant operations.
