Job Description

As an Executive Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining the reliability and safety of Singapore's Rail Transit System (RTS). You will work closely with Rail Operators to identify and resolve on-the-ground Operation & Maintenance (O&M) issues, ensuring that RTS assets under your Division's charge are properly maintained.

You will also be responsible for reviewing and auditing the Rail Operator's maintenance plan/regime for compliance with NRFF licence condition. Additionally, you will ensure that operators optimize the costs and benefits of assets under their purview throughout their service life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain good working knowledge of O&M issues to facilitate return of experience to LTA's design Divisions.
  • Work closely with Rail Operators to ensure RTS assets are properly maintained.
  • Review and audit the Rail Operator's maintenance plan/regime.
  • Optimize the costs and benefits of assets under operator purview.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. You should also possess a solid understanding of Mechanical Engineering principles and relevant technical standards. At least 3 years of experience in design/installation, operation, and maintenance of tunnel ventilation systems, environmental control systems, fire protection systems, plumbing/sanitary, pumped drainage, lifts, and escalators is required.

Desirable Skills:
  • Knowledge of railway work environment and relevant safety requirements.
  • Conversant with all relevant technical standards and codes of practice.
