Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will provide individualized care to residents with physical or mental disabilities, focusing on their comfort and health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer occupational therapy services aligned with our organization's mission and philosophy of care.
  • Coordinate and ensure appropriate occupational therapy services by supervising, monitoring, and educating therapy and nursing staff.
  • Implement and continuously improve standards of care and service that meet or exceed required levels of performance.
  • Assess and identify individual needs of residents and formulate/develop and implement appropriate individualised music therapeutic programs.
  • Evaluate and document residents' occupation therapy needs and progress at regular intervals, monitor training programs, and review its effectiveness.
  • Refer residents to the respective specialists for consultation and appropriate intervention.
  • Train and supervise caregivers/volunteers in the maintenance of occupational therapy programs.
  • Plan and schedule therapy care staff for relevant training in order to excel in their duties.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy
  • Full registration with APHC

Working Hours and Location

Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:45 pm (with a 45-minute lunch break) at The Salvation Army - Peacehaven Nursing Home, Singapore.
