Job Title: Resident Technical Officer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident Technical Officer to join our organization.
The Role:
- To oversee the execution of works and maintain quality control.
- To supervise the timely execution of the works and ensure that they are carried out in accordance with the contract specifications, drawings, allocated timeframe, all other contract documents, and site instructions.
- To check all drawings and specifications to ensure that works are carried out in accordance with the approved plans for discrepancies and report to the Superintending Officer / Consultant / Qualified Person as stated below:
- Check shop drawings submitted by contractor.
- Check as-built drawings and Operation & Maintenance Manual submitted by contractor.
- To check on quality of materials and samples delivered to site and report to Superintending Officer / Consultant / Qualified Person on any materials that are not conforming to the specifications.
- To check mock-ups done on site, where necessary.
- To ensure that the required construction tests in connection with the construction works are carried out where necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Possess Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Registered Resident Technical Officer with IES / ACES.
- Minimum 8 years relevant experience as a RTO, of which at least 5 years shall be in supervision of works similar in nature to the Works, involving diaphragm wall construction, deep excavation, cut-and-cover tunnels, drainage, pavement, taxiways and runways.
