Embedded Systems Validation Engineer

We are seeking an experienced software validation and verification professional to lead our team's embedded systems knowhow and capability development.

This is a challenging opportunity for a highly motivated individual with expertise in ECU validation and verification within the automotive industry.

  1. Analyze customer, system or software requirements
  2. Define the test plan and strategy based on software build plan and project schedule
  3. Develop test cases using Vector VTESTstudio and CAPL scripts according to the requirements
  4. Perform integration tests, unit tests, and system tests based on the V model and ASPICE
  5. Log anomaly reports, support debugging, and test bug-fix

Additional responsibilities include assessing Matlab Simulink models for quality and integrity, coordinating with software architects and developers to resolve test issues, maintaining test benches and tools, including calibration of equipment, designing and assembling prototype boards, wire harnesses, and simulator boxes, sourcing vendors, creating purchase orders, and managing payments.

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of experience in ECU validation and verification within the automotive industry
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical, Electronic, Computer, or Software Engineering
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with fluency in technical communication
  • Ability to attend night conference calls and travel to Suzhou China for training and work

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with CAN/CAN-FD and Flexray communication in vehicular networks
  • Knowledge of UDS protocol and CAN/CAN-FD testing
  • Proficiency in C programming and familiarity with Python, Vector CAPL, and CASL
  • Understanding of MISRA C standards and ISO26262 functional safety mechanisms
  • Familiarity with Autosar Architecture and serial transmission protocols

The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will also have a strong understanding of software validation and verification principles, as well as experience working with Embedded systems.
