Electrical Power and Propulsion Systems Researcher

We are seeking a highly skilled researcher to join our team in the development of web-based Ship Simulation and Optimisation Software Platform.

This role is an excellent opportunity for you to apply your expertise in dynamic modeling and simulation to contribute to the improvement of ship electrical power and propulsion systems.

  • Develop and implement advanced dynamic models for energy storage, electrical power, and propulsion systems of ships.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of the simulation models to ensure their accuracy and reliability.
  • Collaborate with our research team to design and develop a web-based Ship Simulation and Optimisation Software Platform.
Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Participating in the research project as a key member of the team.
  • Managing and coordinating the research project activities.
  • Carrying out dynamic modeling and simulation of ship electrical power and propulsion systems.
  • Testing and validating the simulation models.
  • Designing and developing the web-based Ship Simulation and Optimisation Software Platform.
  • Coordinating procurement and liaison with vendors/suppliers.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Relevant competence in dynamic modeling and simulation.
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering/Marine Engineering/Mechatronics/Other Relevant Engineering Degree.
  • Possessing a Master's or PhD degree will be advantageous.
  • Experience in C++/Java will be advantageous.
