Electrical Engineer for Large Scale Industrial Projects

We are an international engineering and project management consultancy specializing in infrastructure and environmental projects.
This is a contract role to support our client's project located in Tuas, Singapore.
Job Summary:
We seek a highly skilled Electrical Engineer with at least 5 years of experience in delivering large scale industrial or utilities projects.
The ideal candidate will have strong capability and experience on power distribution equipment, MV/LV cabling installation and commissioning, and electrical power automation.
Able to lead the electrical team, possess strong analytical skills to resolve technical issues, and good understanding of SS638 requirements on electrical installations in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as owner's engineer to lead the electrical team in project implementation at site.
- Proactive attitude and solution-orientated personality with leadership mentality and for the electrical discipline, assisting project director in the contract execution.
- Strong capability and experience on 66kV, 10.5kV, 6.6kV and LV related power distribution equipment.
- Good understanding of industrial MV/LV cabling installation and commissioning requirement.
- Experience in large power transformers, generator circuit breakers, MV switchgear, protections and control equipment, MCC and UPS and DC system is expected.
- Having good understanding and interpretation of SLD, protection and metering SLD, schematics and cabling drawings.
- Able to understand P&ID drawings and layout drawings.
- Possessing strong analytical capability to resolve technical issues proactively
- In-depth of understanding of electrical power automation for electrification of WtE project would be an added merit.
- Contracts management in managing site works while maintaining swift communication with client and contractors for the project implementation
- Familiar with SS638 requirements on electrical installations in Singapore.
- Multi-discipline coordination in the execution of electrical works
- Basic knowledge of instrumentation and control equipment for site works
- Review the submittals from Contractors for electrical installation and commissioning procedures of various sub-packages.
- Engage in site technical meeting with contractors and client
- Strong communication capabilities to deliver concept and idea
- Join site inspection of contractors' works.
- Participation in FAT and SAT of electrical and DCS equipment
- Ability to use Navisworks to review 3D BIM Model for routing of site utilities
Requirements:
- Degree holder in Electrical Engineering
- At least 5 years of relevant engineering experience in delivery of large scale industrial/ utilities projects (e.g. waste, water, oil & gas or power) or relevant experience in delivering large solid waste management projects (e.g. WTE, sludge incineration, materials recovery and food waste treatment).
Salary: SGD 90,000 - 120,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
