Financial Investigation Lead

The position of Financial Investigation Lead involves the analysis of potentially suspicious and/or high-risk client cases utilizing financial statements and documents.

Key responsibilities include conducting independent research, analyzing data, writing clear and concise summaries, advising management on next steps, managing risk by analyzing root causes of issues and their impact on business, making recommendations to senior management regarding filing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) or relationship termination or retention, and conducting Cross Sector reviews among multiple business lines.

Additionally, this role requires the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision, exercise independence of judgment and autonomy, act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and/or other team members, and appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding clients and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data and transactions to identify potential anomalies or suspicious activity.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risk and prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of efforts.
