Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and monitor all site operations related to Gas Transmission Pipeline (GTP) and associated facility development projects from inception through commissioning and the conclusion of the defects liability period.
  • Ensure that all construction activities adhere to statutory regulations, standards, codes, project specifications, best industry practices, and ISO9001 requirements.
  • Verify that site progress aligns with the approved timeline.
  • Implement safe work practices in accordance with Workplace Safety and Health regulations, SP Group's procedures, and industry best practices.
  • Enforce technical and safety standards on-site.
  • Facilitate, coordinate, and manage interactions with consultants and contractors during site discussions and progress meetings.
  • Assist the Engineer (GTP) in site project management by liaising, coordinating, and securing permits from relevant authorities, ensuring compliance during the construction phase of the gas transmission pipeline and facilities.
  • Address site constraints and conflicts as necessary, maintaining frequent communication with various stakeholders throughout the project construction phase.
  • Prepare daily records of construction activities and progress reports in compliance with ISO9001 standards.
  • Monitor third-party construction activities to mitigate any potential damage.
  • Support the Engineer (GTP) in creating work orders, maintaining daily records of completed work, and verifying payment claims.
  • Assist in the preparation and procurement of contracts, reports, and other necessary documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution in Singapore.
  • Experience in supervising mechanical (e.g., piping, welding) and civil (e.g., trenching, tunneling) works is preferred.
  • Able to engage effectively with key stakeholders and clients.
  • Strong technical foundation, complemented by project management skills to navigate rapidly evolving and complex projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Teams, etc.
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively in a challenging environment.
  • Possession of a personal vehicle for work-related purposes.
