Principal Application Developer

We are seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and support within capital markets applications/trading systems.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Calypso v14.4 and related internal components.
Provide Level 3 application support – troubleshoot, debug, and resolve incidents/requests from business users and IT teams.
Manage software releases – analysis, coding, testing, deployment, and documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration and performance of trading systems.
Contribute to automation through scripting (Python, Shell) and process improvements.
Mentor junior team members and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
7+ years' experience in software development/support within capital markets applications/trading systems.
Strong Java development experience with Calypso Back Office modules (settlements, transfers, accounting, workflows, confirmations, reconciliation, pricers, reporting).
Solid understanding of financial products (FX, Treasury, Bonds, Credit, IRD, Repos, SLB, issuances) and trade lifecycle.
Familiarity with regulatory reporting (HRF, NORIA, MMSR).
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure.
Nice to Have:
Knowledge of Spring Boot, microservices, domain-driven design.
Experience in implementation projects and exposure to capital markets applications.
