Senior Operations Specialist

This is a key role in our operations team, working on high-profile projects to ensure the delivery of exceptional results.

About the Role:

  • Lead a team of technical specialists in waste management facilities, overseeing the design and construction of Integrated Waste Management Facility (IWMF) and Tuas South Incineration Plant (TSIP).
  • Collaborate with project consultants and stakeholders to ensure IWMF meets design specifications and statutory requirements.
  • Participate in testing and commissioning of equipment and systems, including mechanical, process, electrical, and instrument control.
  • Attend factory acceptance tests at local and overseas factories to verify quality and performance of major equipment/systems.
  • Work closely with engineers to operate and maintain TSIP, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs for electrical and control equipment, and administer contracts for operation and maintenance services.
  • Enforce permit-to-work system and promote a safe work culture, supervising contractors' work for quality and safety.
  • Assist in developing standard operating procedures and safety protocols, and perform shift work as needed.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Engineering or Nitec in Engineering course.
  • For Diploma holders: 3 years of relevant experience; fresh graduates can be considered. For Nitec holders: 6-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Candidates with professional certification will be preferred.
  • Strong technical background, analytical skills, and knowledge of solid waste management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, preferably Navisworks and Primavera P6.
  • Mature, independent, resourceful, and good team player.
  • Good interpersonal communication.
  • Able to work in waste-to-energy facilities and perform rotating shift work.
