Job Title: Senior Cost Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Manager to join our team at Turner & Townsend. As a Senior Cost Manager, you will be responsible for conducting feasibility studies, writing procurement reports, estimating and cost planning, tendering and procuring, and managing post-contract cost variances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct feasibility studies and write procurement reports
  • Estimate and cost plan, including producing and presenting the final cost plan
  • Tender and procure, including managing the pre-qualification stage, producing the tender list, putting the preliminaries together, tender analysis, producing the tender report, and compiling the contractual documents
  • Deal with post-contract cost variances and change control processes, referring major changes to the line manager
  • Make cost checks and carry out valuations on larger projects, ensuring timely and accurate cost checking and valuation
  • Produce monthly post-contract cost reports and present them to the client
  • Contribute to value engineering, negotiating and agreeing final accounts
  • Interface with the client and other consultants at all project stages
  • Assist in the production of bid documentation
  • Identify ways to improve cost management procedures, templates, and products, referring ideas to the line manager
  • Manage knowledge, ensuring key information and learning generated from each commission is input into the internal database
  • Manage finances, keeping track of ongoing margin levels
  • Improve processes, identifying ways to improve internal systems and processes, referring ideas to the line manager

Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management/Engineering, or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in cost and contract management of major construction projects
  • Registered Quantity Surveyor with the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers (SISV) or equivalent
  • Experience from cost consultancy is preferred
  • Familiar with Building Information Modeling (BIM) for costing purposes
  • Excellent technical knowledge and experience across the full range of Cost Management duties
  • Team player with excellent leadership and problem-solving skills
  • English language skills are required
