Unlocking Risk Management Potential

AIG's Underwriting teams help find insurance solutions in areas including Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, and Multinational Clients. We're transforming our operating model and reshaping our role responsibilities and career pathways to unlock the full potential in each colleague.

Your Impact

  • Underwrite new and renewal business in accordance with underwriting guidelines, relevant underwriting authority, and AIG principles.
  • Identify target accounts and monitor progress against budget using appropriate reports and tools.
  • Maintain accurate files, registers, and records to contribute to management reporting and timely service and policy insurance.
  • Assist in implementing business plans in accordance with Energy and company direction.
  • Develop solid working relationships with existing and new brokers to create business opportunities.
  • Identify business opportunities and convert ideas to reality through product development and enhancement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry, business issues, and trends.
  • Attend client and broker functions as required.
  • Ensure client service metrics as agreed by Profit Centre are adhered to.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • A good degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, or Engineering.
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to pursuing a career in the global insurance industry.
  • Highly analytical thinking with demonstrated talent for identifying, scrutinizing, improving, and streamlining complex work processes.
  • Flexibility and ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple concurrent projects.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication in English.
