Hotel Financial Performance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Hotel Financial Performance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and profitability through effective financial planning and analysis.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hotel finance, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in hospitality or hotel finance. A bachelor's degree or professional qualification in finance, accounting, or a related discipline is required. The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

You will be responsible for leading the annual budgeting and forecasting process, reviewing and challenging operator-submitted budgets, and providing financial insights to internal asset management teams. You will also review monthly property performance and financial reforecasts from operators, prepare pre-month-end FP&A decks, and participate in monthly review meetings.

In addition to your technical skills and experience, you will have a proven ability to understand and influence hotel financial performance from an ownership perspective. You will be skilled in preparing and presenting strategic insights using PowerPoint and proficient in financial modeling, Excel, and business analysis. Familiarity with hotel systems such as Opera PMS, Sun, and BirchStreet is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process
  • Review and challenge operator-submitted budgets
  • Provide financial insights to internal asset management teams
  • Review monthly property performance and financial reforecasts from operators
  • Prepare pre-month-end FP&A decks
  • Participate in monthly review meetings
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or professional qualification in finance, accounting, or a related discipline
