Chair Professorship in Nanophotonics

Nanyang Technological University Singapore invites applications for a chair professorship in nanophotonics. The successful candidate will be expected to make significant contributions to the research and academic activities of the Division of Physics and Applied Physics.

About the Position

The position requires a Ph.D. degree in physics or a closely related area, with expertise in cutting-edge nano-photonics, plasmonics, especially in superoscillatory imaging technologies.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead research projects in the area of nanophotonics, particularly Deeply Subwavelength Superoscillatory Imaging (DSSI).
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in physics and related areas.
  • Supervise students and postdoctoral researchers.
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. degree in physics or a closely related area.
  • At least 15 years of experience in cutting-edge nano-photonics, plasmonics, especially in superoscillatory imaging technologies.
  • Expertise in AI and deep learning.
  • Able to fabricate photonic devices using electron-beam lithography and focus ion beam.
  • Demonstrated ability to obtain external grants and regularly publish in top-tier journals such as the Nature and Science family of journals.
