Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Systems Manager to join our team at Marina Bay Sands. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of our complex mechanical systems, including plumbing, sanitary, pool, and water feature systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and execute maintenance and repair activities to ensure the smooth operation of our mechanical systems.
  • Oversee the work of a team of technicians and contractors to ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard and within budget.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance and repair strategies to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all mechanical systems are properly integrated and functioning as intended.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including schedules, budgets, and performance metrics.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in mechanical systems management to ensure that our systems are always operating at optimal levels.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent qualification.
  • Licensed Plumber and/or Water Efficiency Manager certification is an advantage.
  • At least three to five years of solid hands-on practical working experience in integrated resorts, hotels, conference and exhibition centers, and/or shopping malls providing operations supports and maintenance of mechanical plant and systems.
  • Good understanding of mechanical systems consisting of plumbing, sanitary, pool, and water feature operation.
  • Able to interpret schematic and layout drawings.
  • Computer knowledge of IBM Maximo System and Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of local regulations, standards, and ordinances on operations and maintenance of mechanical systems.
  • Intimate knowledge of all major systems; their operation and potential weaknesses.

  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and at times independently, as well as under pressure.
  • Willingness to work any day of the week and long hours when necessary.
  • Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to Departmental and Company policies.
